FS#9983 - Scarlet Halls PTR Bugs (Full List)

Hello, I have extensive challenge mode experience from live MoP (realm best times), and want to help this server get CM dungeons working as they should be! The following is a detailed list of bugs found in the Scarlet Halls Challenge Mode on the PTR realm.

General Bugs

1) Prior to starting the Challenge Mode dungeon, there are 3 Bucket of Meaty Dog Food. These buckets should not spawn at all until the timer of the dungeon has finished and the wall blocking the entryway disappears. Obsolete

2) If you immediately run at the wall after resetting the challenge mode, you can run straight through it. Obsolete (It will teleport you back)

3) On the bosses throughout the instance, if you die during the fight you can currently release and run back and rejoin the fight. You should not be able to re-enter the instance while a fight is in progress. Obsolete

Trash throughout the instance

1) When the person running the large target down the Commander Lindon gauntlet reaches the pack of archers, they are supposed to be momentarily stunned. On occasion they currently do not get stunned. - fixed
- Proof of Bug: Video (you can see on the raid frame the druid doesn’t get stunned at all)

2) The Master Archers are only supposed to directly fire arrows at the person furthest down the gauntlet going towards them. Currently they sometimes hit other players in the group. Fixed by Gam

3) The Angry hound to the right of the hallway just after Houndmaster Braun currently aggro’s the players from too far away. You should be able to pass into the tunnel/hallway without getting into combat with that dog. - Work for me, need more info

4) The Scarlet Guardians/Seargant Verdone pack is supposed to instantly attack and knockback anyone who tries to pass through (usually 1 shotting anyone but a tank) until the dogs from the Houndmaster encounter eat them. Currently if you do not engage them in any way, you can simply walk through them and they do nothing. Note: you should still be able to go through them AFTER combat with Houndmaster ends if your tank engages them all and you use a goblin glider to not be on the ground when you pass through (or a mage can blink through). - fixed

- Correctly Working: I couldn’t find a video where anyone attempted to run through the enemies without doing the goblin glider/blink strategy, but here is a video showing that Video

5) The Scarlet Cannoneers in the hallway directly after Houndmaster Braun should be firing randomly throughout the hallway directly in front of them, and there should be a small target circle on the floor indicating a cannon is about to hit that spot. Currently the cannons are always fired at the exact same locations, and when they land, they appear to hit 10-12 times instantly. - fixed
- Proof of Bug: Video (low quality video, but you can see that without the 99% dmg reduction buff, I would be taking somewhere around 1M damage instantly each time they hit).

6) Throughout the Cannoneer hallways, the patrolling packs of enemies are supposed to have extra mobs on challenge mode difficulty, and currently have the standard heroic dungeon amount. The packs should be as follows:
1st - Defender, Evangelist, Scourge Hewer, Evoker, and Myrmidon - fixed
2nd - Defender, 2 Evangelist, Scourge Hewer, Evoker, and Myrmidon - fixed
3rd - Defender, Evangelist, Scourge Hewer, Evoker, and Myrmidon - fixed
Top Hallway before Armsmaster Harlan: Defender, 2 Evangelist, Scourge Hewer, 2 Evoker, and Myrmidon - fixed
There should also be a Scarlet Guardian patrolling the final hallway with the Scholars/Students. - fixed

7) The Scarlet Evangelist should be able to cast surrender health to heal its allies but drain its own health. If it hits 10% hp it should stop the health drain but continue to heal it’s target. Currently when it casts the ability, it gains health back at an extremely fast rate instead of losing it, and can target dead enemies/the cannons in the hallway near it. - fixed

8) The Scarlet Guardian enemies can sometimes not cast their stun (Jolt) for a long time. They should periodically cast it at random players the entire time they are in combat. - fixed

9) The Scarlet Treasurers should be casting Toss Statute at random players, not just the tank. Fixed by Gam

10) The Scarlet Treasurer enemies spawn small piles of gold nearby when they die. During a challenge mode these piles should not appear or be able to be looted. Fixed by Gam

11) The Scarlet Scholars in the hallway just before the last boss should be able to be moved around easier than they currently are. When they get silenced during their Scarlet Protection channel and cannot cast they should follow the standard mob behavior of running and auto-attacking the target with the highest threat. Currently they just stand in place and do not do anything. They behave correctly when their fire spells are interrupted however. - fixed

Houndmaster Braun

1) Houndmaster Braun currently aggro’s players from too far away. He should not enter combat from proximity until the player is fully in his room past the archway and into the uncovered courtyard. - fixed

- Correctly Working: Video (You can see them standing just in the archway waiting without the boss pulling)

2) If the hounds from the vigilant watchman patrol just before the boss are sleeping, sometimes the hounds summoned during the fight will be laying down and slide around instead of the correct animations. Fixed by Gam (The problem was, that when the summoned dogs started aggroing the player the sleeping dogs would start attacking)

3) Houndmaster Braun should begin his RP which summons the dogs to eat him at exactly 15% hp left. Currently you have to damage him further before it triggers. Obsolete

4) If you use a Salyin Battle Banner at any point during the fight including during his RP, he will immediately chase the saurok out of the room. He will then rapidly regain his hp, and restart his fight without dropping combat. If this happens, the dogs at the end that eat him at the end of the RP become hostile, cannot be killed, and will not kill the Scarlet Guardians/Sergeant Verdone. The Guardians/Sergeant will also not deal damage to players who walk through them. - fixed

Armsmaster Harlan

1) Armsmaster Harlan can be pulled out of his encounter area. If there is no one alive inside of his encounter area, or he is pulled through the door, he should reset the encounter and drop combat with the living party members. Fixed by Gam

2) The Scarlet Defenders summoned throughout the encounter should not be killed from full hp when picked up in his Blades of Light ability. Their armor should be removed and they should take 50% of their maximum health in damage. - fixed

3) The Scarlet Defenders summoned during the fight should despawn when the boss dies if they are still alive. - fixed

Flameweaver Koegler

1) Flameweaver can be pulled out of his encounter area. He should reset the encounter and drop combat with the party if he is pulled outside of his area. Obsolete

2) When he casts Greater Dragon’s Breath, you can sometimes be disoriented from behind him. You should only be disoriented if you are in the animation of the fire breath. - I’ve found an issue when he turned back too fast after cast, which could cause the wrong hit. When you’re behind him and it’s not the end of the cast, the PTR scale buff caused him to wrongly hit you. Normally it works for me.

3) His book burner ability should produce a line from him to the bookshelf he is intending to set on fire. After about 2 seconds if no one is standing in the line, the bookshelf should ignite doing pulsing aoe damage in an area around it. If someone stands in the line, they should take some medium fire damage, but the bookshelf should not ignite. Currently the line does not appear so it cannot be blocked. - fixed

I have 100% had this happen to me on the live servers I will try and get a new video if nothing changed to him regarding this ability
