FS#4259 - Pets do not attack if you get in combat while mounted and then dismount

Pets almost always do not automatically begin to attack, regardless the stance they are in (Assist/Defense) if you were mounted and got in combat prior dismounting.
This bug is present in both PvP and PvE environment. Happens to me since day one of the Evermoon realm launch.

Steps to reproduce:
1. get a pet and set his stance to Assist or Defense (doesn’t matter)
2. mount up with a ground mount. While flying with a flying mount the pet disappears and usually the bug is not present there.
3. walk next to a mob so he will aggro you and get you in combat or get a member of the opposing faction to attack you and get you in combat
4. dismount
5. regardless if the pet is in Assist or Defense mode, he will stay next to you and follow you up until you are out of combat. Only then he will acknowledge his actual state and begin to fight back automatically whatever you are attacking or is attacking you.

A “fix” for this is to click the state (or mood or whatever it’s called) again or to click to a different one so it will force-refresh it and cause the pet to register the dismount event.
Most of the times (but not always!) if you click Attack the pet will NOT attack the target in the above described bug condition. If you click/change the stances he almost always will begin to fight back but in a PvP environment this is quite annoying.

I believe this bug is caused by the way pets behave while you are mounted - while mounted with a ground mount the pets’ action bar is disabled and the pet is “muted” for action, so you can’t use any of his abilities until you dismount. Once you dismount the pet becomes again active and under your control (unmuted/enabled). For some reason if you are in combat while you dismount the pet does not register the dismounting event and thus continues to be inactive.

Since this is quite annoying in PvE and very crucial in PvP I mark this as High, if not even Critical.
