FS#40620 - Valithria Dreamwalker issues

NORMAL AND HEROIC:

  • Only one Suppresser applies Suppression debuff, rest of them just sits there and does nothing. Sometimes when I came close to the one casting Suppression - it focused on me and stopped channeling it as well. - fixed
  • Blazing Skeleton’s Lay Waste does not damage Valithria. - not bug, only target player
  • When I entered portal as only person in raid, it placed all of the adds into the spawn alcoves. Suppressors seemed to stay there and other mobs reaggroed. - fixed

HEROIC:

  • Valithria doesn’t always die when her health reaches 1, at one attempt it took like 2 portal waves for her to end the encounter, other attempts it works fine. - fixed
  • I think orbs should respawn slightly faster. As you can see in this video when players enter portals for the second time, almost all portals are respawned again (I might be wrong on this but I can’t really test it too well because of next bug). - fixed
  • Heroic’s mechanic is passive health drain on the boss and right now it appears massively overtuned. Apologies for the following wall of text. - fixed (changed to 12.5/15.5 hp decay per second 10H/25H)

As you can (barely) see in this video (sorry for 140p video but that’s the only 10man footage I have found that shows healing done on meters), total healing done by all healers is ~10m HP. We can safely assume that two top healers (paladin and shaman) were assigned to healing Valithria, and the third (druid) healed primarily raid. This brings healing done on Valithria to around 9m HP. By subtracting 6m HP (she starts the fight at 6/12m HP, so this is the amount we have to heal the boss for without her taking any damage from mobs/health drain) from that number we come to the amount of health she lost due to health drain/mobs. The kill video seemed pretty clean to me in terms of cleaning mobs so I assume the vast majority of damage Valithria took was from the health drain. Dividing this number (3m HP) by fight length (4 minutes) we arrive at -12.5k HP/s, which is quite dwarfed by -50k HP/s currently on PTR (my estimate). Even if we count all of the healing done as being done to Valithria this brings it up only to -16.6k HP/s.

Similarly, in 25 man version (luckily we found archived log of the fight) health drain maths out to about 15.5k hp/s:
(total healing done - damage taken by players - Valithria’s missing health) / fight length
(22,780,975 - 1,741,791 - 18,000,000) / 196 ~= 15,506

I applied the method that I had used in 10man to 25man heroic video (can’t find it now) and from what I remember resulting value also fell within range of 15-20k (on PTR it looks like -100-150k HP/s).

Even if values we found this way are incorrect.. they should at least show us order of magnitude of damage she should take.
