FS#3918 - Diminishing Returns not working

Diminishing returns do not appear to be working at all, at least in PvE situations. A pack of 3 NPCs with fear just kept me feared for over 45 seconds straight. Other similar things happen with stun, silence, disorient etc. This can make it impossible to pull large packs of enemies.

???
Did you even read the report?
He says that NPCs are CC-ing his character and there is no DR on their spells...
This bug is very old, I remember back in WOTLK when you got cc chained by Shoveltusks in Howling Fjord.

He did state clearly that he was the one kept in fear, not the NPC. DR in this case should protect him. There was a case at TK where the 4 advisors could crowd control the player until he finaly dies (up to 10 min) if he did’t use the staff or killed some of the advisors before he got cc’d. The OP refers to similar cases when he pulls multiple mobs capable of crowd control.

That particular case is not a bug, though. http://www.wowhead.com/spell=42320/head-butt#comments:id=1505667

According to what article says it shouldnt be the case anymore as the DR and CC system in MoP was unified.

We’ve checked it on retail, and there is no diminishing returns from creature spells by default

Ledeburyt-Evermoon commented on 20.04.2018 15:05

Then i think you should check it again, this is result of 15 sec of google search

In PvE
Many types of crowd control also suffer from diminishing returns versus NPCs, usually stuns. Diminishing returns do not count per player but per creature; every creature has its own diminishing return for each group of CC and all players in your party / raid will be affected by that diminishing return.

They also complained about mobs chain cc’ing players on the retail forums.
