FS#38660 - Anub'arak - Nerubian Burrower Expose Weakness is being applied pre-block instead of post-block.
Nerubian Burrowers apply a debuff, Expose Weaknes, increasing damage taken by 25%, stacking up to 9 times for a total of 225% increased damage taken. However, block tanks are unique suited to handle this debuff, as the damage increase is supposed to be applied to the damage after a portion of it has been blocked. Currently on Crystalsong, it is being applied before the block has occurred, resulting in a much higher increase in damage than expected.

In the above screenshot I took a 9 stack regular hit and a 9 stack blocked hit. We can extrapolate the expected value using some simple math:
The unblocked hit was for 14,667.
The second hit was for 11,673 + 2,237 blocked, or 13,910 total. This is within the expected damage range of an attack ignoring the mechanics of the damage increase. But the damage increase isn’t supposed to be applied that way.
If the unblocked hit was for 14,667, then the damage that exact melee hit would have done without stacks would have been 14,667/(1 + 2.25) or 4,513 damage. This is accurate based on my testing in that gear.
If I had blocked 2,237 of that 4,513 hit, it would have hit me for 2,276 damage. This is also accurate based on my testing.
If you add back in the debuff, for an additional 225%, meaning 2,276 * (1 + 2.25), the damage taken should be 7,397.
This means, in my gear (this gear was intentionally sub-optimal for testing purposes) I am receiving roughly double the intended damage from the Burrower’s attacks. In better gear, this will pass the 3x threshold and reach nearly 4x the expected damage.
I'm not sure exactly ends up being the problem, but this is an example of a fix that got applied to another server to work around the issue in this conversation with nerubian burrowers and block calculations.
